After more than two decades of walking alongside Indigenous communities, healers, medicine women, elders, and wisdom keepers in Oaxaca, a deeper calling began to emerge.
Through Tierra Sagrada, we have received teachings that cannot be measured in books or statistics — knowledge carried through stories, rituals, plants, language, relationship with the land, and ways of seeing life that have been passed from generation to generation.
How can these living traditions continue to thrive in a rapidly changing world?
Raíces Vivas was born from this question.
Its vision is to create a foundation dedicated to preserving and supporting Indigenous knowledge, traditional medicine, ancestral practices, and the cultural heritage that lives within communities.
Not as something frozen in time, but as living wisdom — evolving, adapting, and continuing to nourish future generations.
Our Role
Through interviews, documentation, gatherings, educational initiatives, and direct collaboration with local communities, we hope to help create spaces where ancestral voices can continue to be heard and honored.
Our intention is not to speak for Indigenous communities.
Our role is to listen, support, build bridges, and help create conditions where this knowledge remains alive and accessible — always with respect, reciprocity, and community leadership.
